The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the question paper pattern for the Class 10th Science Board examination scheduled to be held in 2019.
As per the new pattern, the board has made some changes in the question paper format and marks distribution. The question paper will have two sections – Section A and Section B.

10th Science Board Question Paper 2019 (Set – 1)
General Instructions :
- The question paper comprises five Sections, A, B, C, D and E. You are to attempt All the sections.
- All questions are compulsory.
- Internal choice is given in Sections B, C, D and E.
- Questions number 1 and 2 in Section A are one-mark questions. They are to be answered in one word or in one sentence.
- Questions number 3 to 5 in Section B are two-marks questions. These are to be answered in about 30 words each.
- Questions number 6 to 15 in Section C are three-marks questions. These are to be answered in about 50 words each.
- Questions number 16 to 21 in Section D are five-marks questions. These are to be answered in about 70 words each.
- Questions number 22 to 27 in Section E are based on practical skills. Each question is a two-marks question. These are to be answered in brief.

(b) Resistance of a metal wire of length 5 m is 100 . If the area of cross-section of the wire is 3 10–7 m2, calculate the resistivity of the metal.
(a) Name and state the rule to determine the direction of force experienced by a current carrying straight conductor placed in a uniform magnetic field which is perpendicular to it.
(b) Draw a labelled diagram of an electric motor.
What is observed after about 1 hour of adding the strips of copper and aluminium separately to ferrous sulphate solution filled in two beakers? Name the reaction if any change in colour is noticed. Also, write chemical equation for the reaction.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will be conducting the Class 10th Science Board Examination from 21st February 2019 to 13th April 2019.
The examination will be conducted in two sessions – morning and evening. The duration of the examination will be 3 hours. The question paper will consist of objective and subjective type questions.
The objective type questions will be divided into three sections – Section A, Section B and Section C. Section A will consist of 20 marks worth of questions, Section B will consist of 30 marks worth of questions and Section C will consist of 50 marks worth of questions. All the sections will carry equal weightage.
The subjective type questions will be divided into two sections – Section D and Section E. Section D will carry 20 marks worth of questions and Section E will carry 30 marks worth of questions. Both the sections will carry equal weightage.
